Content Creator Key Program

About this program

We at Remedy Entertainment invite content creators to cover CONTROL Resonant on their Twitch and/or YouTube channels. Creators can register their interest in receiving a CONTROL Resonant game key to feature the game on their channel once it releases in September 24th, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. This page explains how creator verification works and how we handle your information.

How verification works

To request a key, you must first confirm that you own your channel by signing in with either Twitch or Google (YouTube). This sign-in is used only to verify that you're the one operating the channel. We don't post anything to your channel or act on your behalf.

What we access, and why

If you sign in with Google (YouTube), we access:

• Your basic Google profile — your name, email address, whether Google has confirmed that email, and your profile picture.
• Your Google account ID — a stable identifier Google gives us so we can recognise a repeat request from the same account. It is not a password and cannot be used to sign in as you.
• Your YouTube channel's public information, via the YouTube Data API — the channel name, your channel handle, your channel's public URL (which contains either your handle or, if you don't have one, your channel ID), your channel image, and the public statistics YouTube already shows on your channel page: subscriber, view, and video counts.

The scopes we request from Google are openid, profile, email, and youtube.readonly.

If you sign in with Twitch, we access:

• Your Twitch profile — username, display name, email address, and profile image, plus your channel URL.
• Your Twitch user ID — the same kind of stable identifier described above.
• Twitch does not tell us whether your email address is confirmed, so we record it as unconfirmed.
• We do not read any Twitch channel statistics.

The only scope we request from Twitch is user:read:email.

We also record the time you verified.

We use this information for one purpose only: to confirm that you control the channel you're requesting a key for.

You can see exactly what we collected

After you verify, the key-request form shows you the channel details we received. Your account email, whether the provider confirmed it, and your account ID sit behind an "Account details we also collected" toggle on the same form. We never receive your password, and we do not keep any access or refresh tokens.

If you signed in with the wrong account, use "Not your channel? Verify a different one" on that form — it clears the verification from your browser session so you can start again.

How we handle your data

We store the channel and profile details above together with your key-request form answers solely to review and process your request. We do not store your Google or Twitch password, and we do not store any access tokens or refresh tokens. Your sign-in is used once, at the moment you verify, to read the information listed above — after that, the connection is discarded.
